This site is about:

The sea – shared! It explores the way the sky reflects, is curious about the silent life under rocks and sand and helps bring to as many people as possible, the deep soul-thumping drum of the waves. Why? To make today worthwhile.

“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.”
― David Attenborough

The aim of this site is to provide you with a little escapism from your day if you need it.

  • There is a weekly blog (Packed Lunch) for a few moments reflective respite, where the images and sounds of the sea can restore, relax and rejuvenate you.
  • There are some articles exploring in more detail the intricate wonders behind the restorative images of marine life. They are inspired by the creative thoughts I have while meditating on the scenery and environment, so like the wind, who knows which way they will blow each week!
  • There are tales and stories of fiction, again inspired by the nautical environment.
  • Hopefully in time, there may be more voices joining mine, as others wish to contribute to their creative thoughts inspired by tide and wave….email me if you wish to contribute – anna@marinemoments.uk

I hope that you will find something of interest that keeps you coming back. That you are inspired to keep reaching out for the inner stillness of the constancy of moon and water, and everything within their embrace. Hopefully curiosity will make you wonder, ‘what has the tide thrown up today’? … join me on these creative marine moments.

A little about me

I like to write about the natural world – to sooth, to heal, to excite and bring the wonder to others. The marine environment revives me and inspires me with tales, stories or ‘creative ramblings’ (‘doodles with words’ maybe…you decide..)
