This book introduces an amazing old lady, the incredible story she has to tell, and all those who have been affected by her. Jane Hannah MacDonald III is a lifeboat. She operated in Appledore, North Devon between 1910 – 1922 and then had many further adventures. Local benefactors raised funds to save her from rotting away in a French boatyard and return her to Bideford, North Devon. She is currently undergoing restoration, with hopes that she will soon return to being seaworthy.
